The Jeep® Grand Cherokee has long been known as an industry leader for its off-road prowess, iconic styling, and leading safety. Add interior luxury and features to that list.
Earlier this fall, WardsAuto named the Grand Cherokee L model to the 2021 Wards 10 Best Interiors list. So what was it about the new Jeep® Grand Cherokee interior that Wards editors loved so much?
For starters, the Palermo leather for the seating, door inners, instrument panel, and console was a wow factor. And, according to Wards, it’s a nice balance to the glossy piano black and black leather on steering wheel and door panels. Wards also complimented the walnut trim and brushed metallic piping found throughout the Summit Reserve model they were testing.
But the goodness of the interior goes far beyond the charm of leather and walnut. Wards praised the comfort and convenience of the sliding mid-row captain’s chairs, the benefit of the four-zone climate control, the absolute refinement of chairs that heat and cool (and massage), and the abundance of cupholders and USB ports (practicality for the win!).
And of course, Wards found the dancing decibel meters for the McIntosh sound system to be a nice touch (and a throwback to simpler times). But it’s more than just looks. Wards calls it “one of the best audio systems out there.”
