Ram is once again taking towing technology to the next level with the release of the powerful 2021 Ram Heavy Duty. This segment-leading pickup has redefined towing strength thanks to a new gooseneck hitch that offers greater strength than ever before.
Thanks to improvements made to the vehicle’s diesel engine and interior structure, the 2021 Heavy Duty can now produce an incredible 1,075 lb-ft or torque. When the new gooseneck hitch is added, you will be able to tow 37,100 pounds behind you.
Extra care was taken when engineering the 2021 Heavy Duty in order to create a pickup that could handle the added weight and torque. A new in-house hitch design from Ram Engineering has enabled the vehicle to haul the industry’s heaviest trailers.
“Ram regains capability leadership by delivering the highest ever torque rating for a diesel pickup truck and heaviest gooseneck towing capacity,” said Head of Ram Brand Mike Koval Jr. in a recent statement. “We understand the attributes that are most important to our customers within the heavy-duty segment; they demand hardworking, long-lasting capability.”
