J.D. Power is a leading researcher in the auto industry and produces yearly studies and reports on overall quality and customer satisfaction. This year, we at Gossett CDJR are thrilled that all Fiat Chrysler Brands — including Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, and Ram — showed marked year-over-year improvement in the 2018 Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout (APEAL) Study™, showing just how much customer satisfaction these new models garner.
FCA U.S. brands performed well overall in the APEAL Study™ and performed well in terms of improvement. Ram and Dodge both placed in the top five of all mass-market brands — ranking third and fourth – and Dodge and Jeep® ranked among the top three most improved brands. Not only were FCA brands recognized, but individual vehicles as well. The Chrysler Pacifica distinguished itself by achieving the top spot among minivans for the second year in a row, while the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 ranked second and third in the Large Car segment, showing just how competitive these vehicles truly are.
To determine the vehicle rankings within the APEAL Study™, J.D. Power measures customer gratification and satisfaction after 90 days of ownership and driving — at the same time they collect data for their Initial Quality Study (IQS). The comprehensive APEAL study considers 77 vehicle attributes.
